AV nominated for CAA Excellence Awards

Ambulance Victoria (AV) has been announced as a finalist in various award categories today for the 2024 Council of Ambulance Authorities (CAA) Awards for Excellence.

The awards aim to showcase the remarkable dedication and ingenuity of ambulance professionals across Australasia, with AV recognised for innovations in patient care.

The finalists were selected from a highly competitive field of entries and judged by an independent panel of industry experts.

Almost 50 submissions were received by the Council of Ambulance Authorities, with four AV entries announced as finalists:

  • Excellence in Clinical Practice
    • Paramedic Blood Component Access Project.
  • Excellence in Patient Care
    • A Strategy to Enhance Cardiac Arrest Survival after the COVID-19 Pandemic.
  • Excellence in Technology
    • Pre-Hospital Video Assisted Secondary Triage, and
    • FOCUS Analytics Reporting Dashboard.

AV Chief Executive Jane Miller congratulated the teams involved in delivering these outstanding innovations.

“I’m proud of the great work our people do to continually improve the treatment and care we provide to the Victorian community,” she said.

Winners will be announced on 15 August.
