Via AV Membership online payments

You can now make a donation when completing your membership payment online. You will have the option to select a general donation or a sustainability donation.

Payments will appear as separate transactions on your bank statement.

Tax deductions

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible. Please ensure you include your full name and contact details for an official tax receipt.

Additional information

Ambulance Victoria (AV) may collect, hold, use and disclose any personal information provided for the purpose of making your donation.
AV may collect your personal information if you:
- donate online via AV’s secure online form;
- send a cheque, money order, or bank transfer/direct deposit (via a completed and returned AV Donation Form);
- donate via an authorised third-party fundraising platform (eg. MyCause, Grassrootz).
Management of personal information
AV manages your personal information in the following ways:
1. Your personal information will be used to process your donation and provide you with a tax-deductible receipt;
2. If you have made a donation via AV’s secure online platform, your details will only be used for the purpose of processing your donation. Credit card information is encrypted, and is not disclosed to or retained by AV; and
3. We may disclose your personal information to service providers who need to obtain this information to administer your donation (such as Raiser’s Edge);
- if you have consented to the disclosure;
- where disclosure is necessary to prevent injury to life or health; or
- if required or authorised by law.
Privacy
AV is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy which sets out how you may access and correct the personal information that we hold about you. For more information, please refer to AV’s Privacy Policy.
Payments via AV website
The system will tell you immediately if there are any issues with your card. It may be a case of checking the information you entered, or there may be an error. We recommend you contact your bank provided for further information.
AV Membership online payments
Sometimes, problems can occur when paying for your membership and making a donation. This is usually because of not enough funds or wrong payment details. If this happens, the system will tell you the issue and let you try again.
In rare cases, if the donation can't be processed, your membership payment will still go through. You will see a confirmation screen showing which payment was successful and which was unsuccessful. If the membership payment has been completed, you can't retry the donation through the system.
If you still wish to donate, please use our general donation process.
AV gratefully accepts all donations in good faith and is therefore under no obligation to refund donations. Refunds will only be issued in exceptional circumstances and for this reason we ask donors to carefully consider donating to AV. No refunds will be considered for cash donations.
AV will consider providing a donation refund when:
- the donation was made incorrectly (i.e. the wrong amount entered).
- a mistake was made by AV; or
- in other exceptional circumstances to be determined at the discretion of AV.
Please note: If a donation is refunded, the issued tax receipt will no longer be valid and should be securely destroyed. It is the recipient's responsibility to use only correct receipts as evidence of tax deductions.
If you wish to apply for a refund, please contact us at donations@ambulance.vic.gov.au or by telephone 1300 566 435 within three weeks (15 working days) of the transaction.
