Ambulance Victoria Auxiliaries

Ambulance Victoria (AV) Auxiliaries have a proud history that dates back more than 100 years. The first Ambulance Auxiliary was established in Maryborough in 1918. There are now approximately 350 volunteers across more than 40 locations throughout Victoria.

Auxiliary members have often been the main motivators to get an Ambulance service for their local communities.

AV Auxiliaries have shown their commitment and support for many years. Significant contributions show their sense of community and passion for their local area. Funds raised contribute to improving health outcomes and enhance services that AV provides. AV deeply appreciates their dedication and contributions.

Fundraising activities raise much needed funds for:

• specialised medical equipment
• additional resources
• advanced training.

AV is proud of the successes that our past and present volunteers have worked so hard to achieve.

Auxiliary Opportunity Shops

Two AV Auxiliary Opportunity Shops (Op Shops) currently operate in Victoria. The shops sell pre-loved goods and raise funds for their local Ambulance branch.

Joining an AV Auxiliary

There are more than 40 AV Auxiliaries across regional Victoria. All support is welcome.

Volunteering with an AV Auxiliary offers new challenges, a strong sense of purpose, and real involvement in the community. AV Auxiliary volunteers are ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
