  • Floods.
  • Hospital evacuations.
  • Health responses to international crises.

The EMU represents AV in peak emergency management groups.

The unit organises paramedic support for over 300 major public events each year, including:

  • Spring Racing Carnival.
  • F1 Grand Prix.
  • MotoGP.
  • New Year’s Eve celebrations.
  • Melbourne Ironman.
  • Around the Bay in a Day.
  • AFL finals series.
